Custom Categories

Service Name
The total number of assets in data sources on the catalog is displayed for each service.
-
For data sources provided by connectors (agents or scanners), the service name represents the data source type.
For example, if an agent registers assets from Snowflake as a data source, the service name will be displayed as "Snowflake".
- For unique data sources of the user organization, the service name will be displayed as Other.
The total number of assets is the sum of assets contained in data sources corresponding to the service. If multiple data sources exist for a service, the total number of assets is the sum of assets in all data sources for that service.
Example 1: In the following case, the total number of assets displayed for the service name "Snowflake" is the sum of assets in two data sources.
- There is a data source automatically created by an agent using Snowflake as the data source.
- The administrator manually created a data source with the service name "Snowflake" from the workspace.
Example 2: In the following case as well, the total number of assets displayed for the service name "Snowflake" is the sum of assets in two data sources.
